Recently in an interview I was asked "what is  my favorite book"  and my immediate response was "Illusions by Richard Bach". Perhaps because it was a gift from my uncle John who was one of the wild rebel geniuses that semi-survived the the chaos of the 60's with his soul intact and searching for answers up till the end when  he was taken by the aids virus in the 80's. Perhaps it was because I was an impressionable kid from Brooklyn that thought there had to be more to this life. Mostly it was because this book agreed with a lot of things I thought about. I would never think to be a critic or try be one but I can say what I personally liked about this story and the characters Mr. Bach created. I was always a believer in the concept that God created us in his image. That always made me feel like he gave us all his abilities and faults. It seems growing up that no one permitted you think in terms of having godlike abilities so why would you. The beautiful and simple way ability is explained and given makes you wonder why we are so mired down in our self imposed prisons. My favorite part of the book is the parable the messiah tells about the little fishes cling to the rocks and how letting go elevates one to new heights. Any way this is an easy to read book that can be pondered over for years and I wish you receive the same joy and inspiration as I did from it. It is available on Kindle http://amzn.to/2wC9YgI
